SIXTY-two-year-old farmer Gerald Grant of Lances Bay, Hanover was shot and killed by unknown assailant/s at Cave Road in the parish yesterday.

Investigators from Lucea CIB report that about 11:30 am, Grant left home for his farm, a destination which he never reached.

About 5:30 pm, residents stumbled upon his body along a dirt track and summoned the police. Preliminary examination revealed that the body had a gunshot wound.

The crime scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue for postmortem.
