This drain, located in Central Kingston, is where this hungry and tired-looking woman calls home.

The woman, who gave her age as 29, was reluctant to give much personal information about herself when our reporter spoke with her on Monday.

She said, however, that she has no family and that she was seeking some assistance to "set my life straight".

She said that she chose to live in the drain because it protects her from criminals who lurk and rape homeless women like herself after dark. She would not say how she gets food and clothing.
