Scabies is caused by tiny mites that can be seen under the skin in creases such as under the arms, underneath the buttocks, on the hands and wrists, or on the genitals.
How is it passed on?
Scabies is passed on through close physical skin contact. It can also be sexually transmitted, but this is less common.

Scabies causes:
An unpleasant itchy rash in the creases of the skin
What are the tests and treatments?
The skin will be examined and a skin flake may be taken to test for mites. Scabies can be treated with a special lotion or cream. Your sexual partner should also get treated to avoid re-infection.
