THE Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has reported that two farmers in Flagaman, St Elizabeth were washed away and are presumed dead.

The identities of the men are not yet known.

One the bodies has reportedly been found.

Significant damage to several crops in the farming belt of South West St Elizabeth has also been reported.

The crops include cantaloupe, sweet pepper, escallion and tomato.

The ministry is also reporting that the Hounslow and Bigwoods areas in the parish are flooded.
