As you listed, Barbados' PM passed away last Saturday.
Since then Rihanna had her "people" release a statement saying that she was saddened by his passing but due to her schedule would not be attending his State Funeral this Wednesday.
As a Barbadian I find her behavior and response to this disgraceful.
Our PM practically shut down our Island when she won that Grammy. Gave her a full concert, gave her a SUV, Land + a House at the super exclusive Apes Hill (Valued at Millions) plus made her a Cultural Ambassador and she seriously can't take the day or two to fly home to show her respect for the man who did all that ??? I mean she's flown home for two days to attend reggae concerts !!!
And then to have her "people" send that statement?! She couldn't even make that personal ??
She should be ashamed of herself! I know Barbadians all over are very upset and have taken to their Facebook and Twitter accounts to vent about it.
Yes people understand she's busy, but if PM's other other countries can not only suspend their Parliment sessions out of respect but take the time to fly here for the funeral then why can't she ? Right now St.Lucia is being hit by Hurricane Tomas and their PM is here in Barbados as he came to see our Late PM's Family and spend time with them before the funeral !
Sorry to go on like this but I have been a fan of hers since the beginning and I am so totally disappointed in her behavior and response.
