HUMAN FILTH THROWN IN TENANT'S ROOM?

A landlord who allegedly threw human waste in his tenant's room because she denied his sexual requests was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

He is 43-year-old Chester Myers from a Seaview Gardens address. Myers has been charged with breaching the Rent Restriction Act and malicious destruction of property.

He is to return to court on December 21.

The allegations are that the accused turned off the electricity on the premises that he rented to the complainant and littered her floor with human waste in an effort to force her off his property.

"She don't pay nuh rent, she nuh pay mi", the accused told the court when Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey asked him why he disconnected the electricity.

However, RM Pusey decided to remand the accused when the complainant told the court, "I pay my rent your honour but I can't have nuh peace in my life because this man want a sexual relationship with me. He threw ..... in my house and right now I miss two cellular phone and nobody else nuh go inna di room so a mus him tek dem."

The accused denied throwing human waste on the complainant's floor, but he admitted to the court that he disconnected her electricity.

In the meantime, RM Pusey advised the complainant to try to make new housing arrangements as soon as possible.
