THE police have confirmed four people dead following the motor accident on the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon, which occurred before midday.
The names of the victims have not been released but cops have identified two females, one male and a child among the dead. All were travelling in a Honda motorcar that collided with a truck close to York Town and 300 metres west of the Foga Road along the highway.
"We are still carrying out our investigations but reports are that the
collision took place between a Honda Civic and a truck," said
Superintendent Radcliffe Lewis, head of the Police Traffic Department.
Several other persons have also been injured.
The incident caused massive traffic congestion in the area.
