During the lead-up week to the Super Bowl, North Texas experienced widely-ranging, record-setting numbers: Outside, exceptionally frigid temperatures literally froze over the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. At the same time, inside country and western night club Billy Bob’s Texas, an unveiling of the Largest belt buckle in existence - 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m ) tall, 8 ft 6 in (2.59 m) wide - as inspected and certified by Guinness World Records® Adjudicator Danny Girton Jr., celebrated ESPN and commissioned Texan sculptor Kelly Graham’s world-class achievement!
According to event organizers, the façade of the aluminum buckle paid homage to the state of Texas, the city of Fort Worth – where it will permanently reside at Billy Bob’s Texas stockyard-area venue - ESPN* and other Super Bowl events around the area.
Home to a new Guinness World Records® feat, perhaps Fort Worth may next create a large belt to complement their buckle!
