The St. Andrew Central police have started probing the circumstances surrounding last night’s shooting death of a licensed firearm holder on Sundown Crescent, Kingston 10.
The dead man has been identified as Byron Taylor and is believed to be between 45 and 55 years old.
Reports from the St. Andrew Central Police are that about 10 o’clock last night, Taylor went to Sundown Crescent to visit a friend.
The police say they were reportedly engaged in a conversation when three men armed with handguns approached them and shot Taylor several times.
Taylor was reportedly robbed of his licensed firearm.
His friend was also reportedly robbed of a Blackberry phone and $10,000.
The police were summoned, the crime scene processed and the body removed to the morgue.
A magazine containing eleven 9 milimetre rounds was also reportedly recovered from the scene.
