Linton Dixon who was arrrested after he was seen with a suspicious bulge in his waistband was fined in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Dixon, who was concealing ganga in his waistband, pleaded guilty and was fined $200 or 10 days for possesion of ganga and $400 or 10 days for dealing in ganga. He also had to submit his fingerprints to the police.

Allegations are that on February 4, a policeman was patrolling in the St Andrew North Division near Mannings Hill Road when he observed and approached the accused.

He reportedly asked him "What are you doing with so much ganga in your waist?" he replied "A mi hustle du nuh lock mi up."

When searched, 48 bags of vegetable matter resembling ganga was discovered in his waistband by the police.

Dixon, a 48-year-old businessman, was then arrested and charged.
