POLICE from the Flying Squad yesterday placed on display several laptop computers, video cameras, high-end phones and other gadgets seized during a series of operations across the Corporate Area in recent weeks and asked members of the public from whom such items were stolen to visit the Flying Squad office in downtown Kingston to identify and claim their property.
"The items were stolen from several homes and are now at our offices," Cornwall 'Bigga' Ford, head of the Flying Squad, told the Observer.
The police said one man who is believed to be the mastermind behind the robberies is now in custody.
Stolen motor vehicle parts, valued over $10 million, as well as a 2010 C Class Mercedes Benz valued at approximately $15 million are also among the items in police possession.
According to the police, the Benz was seized from a man who claimed he is the owner of an insurance company.
Police said they are still carrying out investigations to determine whether the car was stolen.
