Jamaica has been buzzing with rumours of a split in the Gaza. However Corey Todd, Vybz Kartel’s business manager, has shot down rumours of a split with DJ Vybz Kartel, after it emerged that he had started a new business venture with the principals of Nite Time Entertainment and the Quad nightclub on his own.
“This is just a separate business venture. Vybz Kartel has other business ventures with other investors, I have mine as well. We are still friends, nothing has changed,” Todd told media news. “We’ll be revamping the whole Quad. Right now we’re at the remodelling stage. We remodelled the front of the club, we remodelled the Oxygen level which will be renamed ‘Visionz’ and we will be opening this on Friday. We are also in the process of remodelling Christopher’s which will become Spiritz Bar & Restaurant. We are also gonna be remodelling the Voodoo Lounge which will be called Déjà vu. It’s gonna be more of a lounge with a very contemporary feel, very nice and luxurious to say the least. We also opening back up Taboo, ‘The ultimate adult playground’, so it will be a true Quad. All four floors will be open,” said Todd.
He believes that the ‘upgraded’ Quad will be warmly received by patrons.
“They will love it. We’re bringing back Quad to its original heyday. It has a very rich history. It was the first multi-level nightclub, the first upscale nightclub really in Jamaica and we’re basically doing it all over again.”
