explosive device
Allegations are that on February 27, personnel from the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Unit received a call from a male alleging that an employee at an in-bond shop at the Norman Manley International Airport was planning to place an explosive device on an American Airlines flight.
The police said following further investigations, it was revealed that the accused, the supervisor at the restaurant at the airport, had fabricated the story because of an argument he had with an employee at the duty free shop at the airport.
In the meantime, as a condition of his bail, he is to report to the Organised Crime Investigation Division on Mondays and Thursdays. In addition, he should not be seen on the streets between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
