A 19-year-old farmer of Huntley district, Manchester, is suspected to have committed suicide in his community on Wednesday.
He has been identified as Kemar Whittaker.
Information received from the Mandeville Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) is that Whittaker left home at about 7:30 am after he reportedly had an argument with his relatives. His body was discovered an hour later, hanging from a tree a few metres from his home. The police were summoned, the crime scene processed and the body removed.
Detectives from the Mandeville CIB are probing the matter.
Man jumps off bridge, dies
An unidentified man, believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, is suspected to have committed suicide Wednesday morning on the Rio Minho Bridge along the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon.
He is of dark complexion, medium build and about 175 centimetres (5 feet 9 inches) tall.
According to the May Pen Police, at about 8:30 am they received information that a man had jumped from the bridge. When they got to the scene, the man was seen lying face down on a rock below the bridge.
