A psycho who sliced off a British woman's head at a supermarket Friday claimed he was a "prophet of God."
The sicko reportedly swiped a knife from the store and stabbed the woman before beheading her.
The gruesome murder took place in Tenerife, a Spanish island popular with British tourists.
Cops in the town of Los Christianos arrested a 28-year-old homeless Bulgarian man after he fled the supermarket still holding on to the victim's head.
The victim, 60-year-old Jennifer Mills-Westley, was apparently chosen at random, a local official said.
Mills-Westley's daughter, Sarah, told the BBC, "She was full of life, generous of heart, would do anything for anyone."
"I parked my car and saw a man running out with something bloody in his hands and a security guard chasing him," one witness told a local radio station, the BBC reported.
"He threw it to the ground, it almost hit me and what he had been carrying was a woman's head," the witness said.
Spanish media reports say the suspected killer, identified as Deyan Valentinov, briefly spent time in a psychiatric hospital and believed he was a "prophet of God."
The mayor of Los Christianos, Jose Reveron, said Valentinov was no stranger to the police, saying he was known for harassing people on the street. In once case, Valentinov knocked out a man's teeth, the Daily Telegraph reported.
"Everybody is shocked. It's a very safe area," Christina Perez, who was nearby during the attack, told the Telegraph. "You can usually go anywhere you want in the day or at night. This is really not normal."
