Internationally acclaimed Reggae superstar, Gyptian & prominent Dancehall producer, Kimani “DJ Frass” Palmer have turned themselves in to local authorities; facing questioning regarding a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday night. The shooting took place at the recording studio of well-renowned Dancehall producer, Steven “Supa Hype” Davis in St. Andrew.
Reportedly, the shooting happened as a result of an argument between Gyptian & DJ Frass; a dispute over a track that the “Hold Yuh” singer voiced on Frass’ Riddim. The dispute became increasingly intense; prompting Frass to leave the studio & return moments later, accompanied by several men. Allegedly, Frass & the men proceeded to drape Gyptian & grab him by the waist & one of the men appeared to be reaching for his waist to draw a weapon. When that took place, a group of armed men then entered the recording studio; opening fire & hitting a 27 year old man multiple times.
