‘The Giving Pledge’ began in June with Gates, his wife Melinda, and Warren Buffett working to persuade the financial elite to part with a minimum of 50 per cent of their fortunes.

Warren Buffett, the second richest American worth some 35 billion euros, has said he wants to give away all his fortune.
CNN founder Ted Turner is one of those to sign up to the idea.
As is the Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg.
Philanthropist David Rockefeller is also on board along with the creater of Star Wars George Lucas.
