Two students from a rural high school in St Catherine received head injuries after they were reportedly involved in a gang dispute on Wednesday.
Police reports indicate that the two boys, ages 15 and 17, were injured with stones during the incident which took place close to a shopping area.
Information reaching THE STAR is that the dispute might have stemmed from an incident which took place last October between opposing gangs within the school where the boys are students. It is unclear what started the feud initially.
Both students later received medical treatment for their injuries.
THE STAR understands that a meeting between the Parent Teachers' Association and the school authorities was called after the incident,
The police confirmed that they are probing the matter.
