THE police are maintaining a heavy presence in Portsmouth, St Catherine in anticipation of possible reprisal attacks following the shooting deaths of five persons in drive-by attack in the community last night.

"The killings has since left the residents in the area on edge," one investigator told the Observer.

Police suspect that the incident is linked to a domestic dispute.

Residents reported that at about 10:00 pm a group of men were playing dominoes at a bar when gunmen drove up in two cars and opened fire on the men.

The names of those who were shot dead are yet to be released but one of the dead men has been identified as 40-year-old Owen Henry of Milton Close.
