CHELSEA have been working on tactical changes that would allow Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres to play alongside each other.
So far, it has been mostly a case of either/or in Carlo Ancelotti's preferred 4-3-3 formation, but the Italian now says they may both be included.
"They can play together without problems," said the Blues boss.
"We are trying in the training sessions to put them together.
"They have to improve their combination, but I think that they don't have a problem to play [alongside each other]."
Ancelotti has stressed he does not believe the £50m price tag is affecting Torres and is backing him to break his Chelsea duck sooner rather than later.
"I don't think Fernando is feeling pressure," he said.
"Obviously it's very important for a striker to score, but in the last game, he played really well.
"He had four opportunities to score and moved very well for the team and I was really happy about this performance.
"I think that he was not so happy, because he'd prefer to score, but I think he will score."
