A Cessna aircraft failed to take-off from the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston and landed on the Port Royal Road a short while ago.
A release from the Airports Authority of Jamaica said the accident occurred during a training exercise.

There were no fatalities and the two occupants of the plane have been taken to hospital.
"We don't know yet what happened but the aircraft didn't take off and landed on the road," Colonel Oscar Derby, director general of the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority told the Observer.
A passenger on a private aircraft that was scheduled to leave just after the Cessna told the Observer a short while ago that all flights have been grounded as the runway has been closed.
The Port Royal Road has also been closed to vehicular traffic.
