A large kitchen knife and a meat chopper were the weapons of choice for two women who engaged each other in a heated argument in Allman Town, Kingston, yesterday.
As THE WEEKENDSTAR approached the scene at the intersection of Hitchen and Weeville Gordon streets about 3 p.m, one woman was seen approaching the other with a kitchen knife in her hand.
"Hey dutty gyal a you mi man a dealwid? Weh di .... yuh tink yuh a do," one of the women shouted.
The other responded, "Hey gyal, gweh yuh a stress yuh man, him nuh want yuh."
exchange of expletives
The exchange of expletives then became violent as the women slashed at each other with their weapons as onlookers observed attentively.
THE WEEKEND STAR was told by an onlooker that they were allegedly fighting about a man one was currently having a relationship with.
As motorists and pedestrians stopped and stared in disbelief, some persons tried to figure out who would draw the first blood while others attempted to calm down both women fearing a tragic end.
A few men eventually intervened and tried to pacify the conflict. No one was hurt as a man dragged one of the women away.
When THE WEEKEND STAR left the area both women were still quarrelling, but from a safe distance from each other.
